Imvest acquires Idols celebrity stock photography agency

Imvest acquires Idols celebrity stock photography agencyImvest Ltd, an investment company owned by David Jacobs and James Claydon, has announced that it has acquired Idols a celebrity stock photography company based in London.  This follows Imvest’s recent acquisition of London Features in August 2008 another celebrity photo agency with over 8 million images going back to the 1940’s. In the past 20+ years of operation Idols has developed an archive of more than a million images focused on high-end music and celebrity portraiture.
“We are delighted to have acquired such a prestigious portraiture agency as Idols and believe this will complement our London Features International brand. We will be running both agencies as separate entities with individual and distinct websites and separate teams to best ensure that we can provide our clients with both red carpet and event based content as well as now offering high end celebrity and music portraiture,” states CEO James Claydon. In addition, Simon Kenton, the current Managing Director of Idols will remain as part of the new team.
