Shutterstock reaches milestone of 5 Million Images

Shutterstock's 5 Millionth ImageShutterstock, a New York City based micro-payment stock photography subscription service, has announced that it has attained a new milestone surpassing 5 million images in its collection growing at a rate of 70,000 images per week. The company also recently touted that it has surpassed 100,000 editorial images. “Since January, we have added over 2 million new royalty-free images to our library, and our weekly library growth rate has recently reached more than 70,000 new images per week,” said Jon Oringer, founder and CEO of Shutterstock.
