In the ever-competitive world of micro-stock, few companies stand out. Crestock looks to be one of those few who have what it takes to succeed. Crestock has been around for several years now, and has continued to climb in popularity.

Getting accepted
There are no formal restrictions about who can submit images to Crestock-- quality is the only barrier to entry. Signing up to sell your images on Crestock is a simple matter of completing an online signup form, accessible from their website.

There is no minimum or maximum number of submissions, even for new members. They suggest submitting 10-20 of your very best images in your initial submission.

Image Requirements - Content

Any subject matter is ok, but they prefer images with people-- all shapes and sizes, and doing all sorts of activities.
Try to avoid over-shot subjects, like sunsets, seascapes, flowers, birds, insects, cats and dogs.
Ask yourself - is the photo good enough to be used to illustrate a business / service / object / location / emotion / mood? If it is, then submit!
Model releases are required for any photo showing a recognizable human face.
Partial, artistic nudity is ok.

Image Requirements - Quality

Focus - images should be well focused and clear
Color and Contrast balanced - proper color balance and contrast is essential
Image orientation - images should be presented in the proper orientation, with the image 'facing up'.
Date imprints and captions - do not submit any image with the date or user-added captions imprinted.
Image manipulation - Retouching and creative manipulation are allowed if done professionally. Only strong images will be accepted. No amount of manipulation will save poorly executed photo.

Crestock's "Judge Ross" posts the daily best photo and daily worst photo submissions to help you get a feel for the level of quality they require.

Image Specifications

Types: photos, illustrations.
File size: 2400x1600 pixels minimum (4MP). No up-sampled images.
File type: photos (JPG in RGB mode), Flash (zipped FLA, with swf and jpg previews), vector (zipped EPS or AI).

Method of Upload
You can upload single images or bulk via FTP (IPTC data is read automatically).

Approval Process
Submitted images are generally reviewed within 5-6 days, depending on current volume of submissions. Images are reviewed in the order they are received. You will receive an email when your images have been reviewed.
